Design & Management of Interactive Learning in Rural Innovation, 5 - 23 November 2012 (DM-IAL2012)This 3-week course took place from 5 to 23 November 2012, in Wageningen, The Netherlands.Course participants were from Algeria (Institute of agricultural technology), Armenia (UMCOR), Benin (University of Parakou), Egypt (SALASEL Farmer association), Ethiopia (University of Bahir Dar and the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency), Kenya (Scinnovent training centre) Uganda (Gulu University), Mozambque (Ministry of Agriculture), Nigeria (Kwara State University), and South Africa (Universities of Limpopo, Fort Hare, Venda). Objectives: The programmel enhanced participants' competencies to facilitate, trigger and coach collective learning in rural innovation. It strengthened the capacities of learning facilitators within the context of existing innovation processes, programmes, and projects. Subjects: Experiential learning was supported by interactive workshops, based on the participants' experiences and the context in which they are working. Participants' on-going and/or envisaged learning programmes were analysed and reflected upon. Course participants were all very enthusiastic on the course. |
